Why do eyebrows droop?
As we age, the eyebrows can descend below their more youthful position. In some cases, the lowered eyebrows can impair your vision, or make it difficult to open the eyes.
How is a brow lift performed
Mild cases can be treated with a chemical brow lift by injecting Botox®/ Dysport®. This medicine will relax the muscles that cause the brow droop allowing your brows to elevate. The effects last 3 to 4 months. This is a minimally invasive procedure that can be performed in the office in under 15 minutes and has little to no downtime.
Moderate to severe brow droop requires a surgical procedure to permanently lift the brows. There are several surgical techniques to lift eyebrows, and Dr. Rowland will discuss the various options and recommend an approach tailored to your individualized needs.
