Matt Meredith, OD FAAO

Dr. Matt Meredith is a Louisville native. He attended Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY, where he graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Psychophysiology and Psychology while also receiving the Begley Scholar Award, the college’s highest honor. Dr. Meredith then received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During his senior year clinical rotations, he spent four months at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers as an intern. He graduated summa cum laude in 2020. Other honors include multiple Basic Science awards and Beta Sigma Kappa distinction.

Dr. Meredith then completed a yearlong residency in Ocular Disease at the Memphis Veterans Affair Medical Center, becoming adept at the management of numerous ocular conditions and pathologies. After completing his residency, Dr. Meredith accepted a position as a Staff Optometrist with the Memphis VAMC where he supervised and educated rotating optometry students and ocular disease residents, eventually becoming co-coordinator of the Memphis VAMC Ocular Disease Residency Program.

Dr. Meredith has lectured on ocular disease to optometry students, residents, and colleagues and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Kentucky Optometric Association. Dr. Meredith enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, trying new restaurants and going to shows and sporting events.
