Dr. Matthew Wojcik joined Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in 2022 as a resident optometrist to pursue his post-doctoral training in ocular disease. Originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron in Biomedical Engineering. He then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
While at The Ohio State University College of Optometry Dr. Wojcik completed externship training with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Salisbury VA medical center in North Carolina and at Roholt VisionInstitute in Canton, Ohio. He also received training in other sub specialties of optometric practice such as binocular vision, low vision, specialty contact lenses, and primary care as part of his education at Ohio State. He was the recipient of multiple merit-based scholarships while completing his optometric education as well.
Dr. Wojcik is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Kentucky Optometric Association.
