Dr. Kelly Sieps joined Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in 2021 to begin her post-doctoral training as an Ocular Disease Resident Optometrist. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, she attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Health Sciences. She then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While attending SCO, she was awarded numerous scholarships and participated in various extracurricular activities.
During optometry school, she completed externships at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers, Southern College of Optometry, and EyeCare Specialists in Lincoln, NE. She received her training in primary eye care, treatment and management of ocular disease, dry eye disease, low vision rehabilitation, and fitting specialty contact lenses. Upon graduation from SCO, she received the Eschenbach Optik Low Vision Student Award as well as the Outstanding Clinician Award.
Dr. Sieps is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, and the Kentucky Optometric Association.
