Dr. Kelley Sedlock, originally from small town Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania, graduated from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania (home of Fred Rogers, Arnold Palmer and Rolling Rock) where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She was a member of the women’s basketball team during her time there.
Dr. Sedlock received her optometric degree with honors from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She was the founder of the College’s Ocular Disease club, and was voted by faculty to receive the Clinical Excellence in Advanced Ocular Care Award for the class of 2019. She completed externships with an emphasis on ocular disease at the Columbus VA Medical Center, Columbus Ophthalmology Associates, and Roholt Vision Institute in Canton, Ohio.
She then went on to complete a 13-month residency program with Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers. While in residency, she presented several case reports at the American Academy of Optometry Meeting and American Optometric Association Meeting. Dr. Sedlock developed a special interest in anterior segment disease, managing conditions such as corneal ulcers, glaucoma and uveitis. She also practices surgical co-management, urgent eye care, retinal disease and much more.
Dr. Sedlock is a co-curator for Retina Rocks, the world’s largest online multimedia retina image library and bibliography repository. She is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, and the Kentucky Optometric Association.
