Zyoptix™
Diagnostic Workstation
Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers is proud to be one of the first in
the nation to offer the new Zyoptix™ Diagnostics Workstation
for our vision correction surgery patients. This system combines two
of the top diagnostic technological advancements – topography
and wavefront – into one work area. The
Orbscan IIz Anterior Segment Analysis System
creates a new standard in surgical planning, measuring 18,000 data
points in only 3 seconds – and providing a thorough analysis
of the front of the eye including both the front and back surfaces
of the cornea. The findings: Additional critical information not obtainable
with traditional topography. The benefits: Your surgeon can
better identify the potential for a satisfactory refractive correction.
The system measures:
- Anterior corneal elevation and curvature
- Posterior corneal elevation and curvature
- Full corneal pachymetry
- Anterior chamber depth
- White-to-white diameter
- Simulated keratometry
- Irregularity index
- Pupil size (mesopic)
- Angle kappa
The Zywave™
Wavefront Aberrometer harnesses astrophysics
to clarify options. Astronomers consistently, and accurately, image
objects obscured by atmospheric abnormalities. Now, Zywave II Wavefront
Aberrometer employs similar wavefront technology to precisely identify
errors within the patient’s entire optical system. The benefit:
Your surgeon can correct refraction based on the total optical error,
rather than just on sphere (nearsighted or farsighted), astigmatism
and axis. Key features of the system include:
- Utilizes trusted wavefront analysis
- Identifies aberrations
- Measures refractive error and abnormal refractive error, identifying
those patients who may not be appropriate for refractive procedures
