When Dr. Donald Bennett opened the practice in 1987, his values were based on his earliest—and deepest—impressions about helping people with eye problems, molded by his father, an optometrist. He recognized that giving superior eye care alone was not enough, and made a point to listen to his patients.

In 1995, when Dr. Steven Bloom joined him to form the partnership of Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers, he brought the same exceptional understanding that we are treating patients, not just eyes. As the practice evolved, this focus in patient care has never been forgotten. We have made certain that the doctors and personnel who join us share this philosophy.

Our entire team has focused our efforts on providing superior medical and surgical eye care. In this spirit we ensure that all of our patients are well informed about their procedure. Patient safety remains paramount, as we perform multiple safety checks on our equipment before and during each procedure. As a result, Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers has become one of the largest and most successful ophthalmology practices in the area with a growing team of doctors and a number of convenient locations. We have become an eye disease and surgical referral center for regional optometrists and ophthalmologists who know the quality of our work, as well as for patients who value the excellence of our care.
