Dr. Casey Bartz recently served with a Mission Medical Team in Guatemala
Dr. Bartz and a team of OD’s and ophthalmologists just returned from a medical mission trip to a providence of Chiquimula, Guatemala to provide medical and surgical eye care in an area that is populated by roughly 100,000 people and currently has only two eye care doctors. He conducted a week of pre-surgical evaluations and comprehensive eye care including eyeglasses. The doctors provided surgery at the Chiquimula Hospital and they saw over 2,220 patients and performed 100 cataract surgeries.
This has been a difficult letter for me to write for quite some time now. How do you thank someone for giving them a second chance to see the world? I know there are few words that can suffice, so "thank you" is all I can really say.
