Dr. Kristin Griffin, originally from Indianapolis, is the newest member of our Ocular Disease Residency program. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, located in Houston, TX, after attending Indiana University for her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience.
While in optometry school, Dr. Griffin spent time in various specialty clinics including primary care, ocular disease, pediatrics, contact lens, vision therapy, low vision, and traumatic brain injury. She then received additional training in primary care, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease during internships at Plaza Vision and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Griffin also has a background as an Emergency Medical Technician in Indiana, where she both worked and helped train future EMTs at Indiana University. She continued with teaching as an ocular disease instructor for an undergraduate optometry preparation program at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Griffin graduated summa cum laude in the University of Houston College of Optometry class of 2016.
