Approves Bausch & Lomb Technolas® 217z Zyoptix™ Personalized
Vision Correction System Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers is now offering Bausch & Lomb’s Zyoptix™ Personalized Vision Correction System for LASIK patients. Zyoptix™ is the recently approved wavefront-guided LASIK system by Bausch & Lomb. “This procedure helps us to further our goal of improving patient quality of vision,” says Dr. Donald Bennett, “by providing patients with excellent visual outcomes.” Zyoptix™ has been widely used around the world—in more than 100,000 procedures—and was recently approved for use in the U.S. In clinical trials, patients were highly satisfied with their results. The trials show 99% of patients were extremely satisfied or satisfied, and none were dissatisfied, with their results six months following the Zyoptix™ procedure. The excellent results are due in large part to the diagnostics. The system uses an integrated topography/wavefront analysis that maps up to 9,600 data points and provides a precise three-dimensional picture of your eye’s unique shape and characteristics. This allows Dr. Bennett to create a personalized plan for each individual eye. In addition, the system offers the widest range of approved treatment (sphere up to –7.00 D and cylinder up to –3.00 D) and ability to treat higher-order aberrations (irregularities in curvature of the cornea). This has shown to provide better night vision with less glare than traditional LASIK. Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers also offers the CustomVue™ wavefront-guided LASIK procedure with the VISX STAR® S4 laser. “With the ability to choose between these two leading technological advancements, we are now able to offer more patients an even more customized procedure than ever before,” said Dr. Bennett. |
